Jamaica and the Dominican Republic are among those markets in the region which are forging a path to a resilient energy matrix through the development of renewables – as well as investment in gas infrastructure. Touted by some as a transition fuel and by others as a long-term source of baseload, this will examine the role of gas in the regional matrix and whether we should regard it as complementary to renewables – or as the competition. The session features leading executives from AES, Eagle and LNG and will be led by a former utility executive now at the helm of a renewable energy development company.
