AES Andes has submitted an environmental impact study (EIS) for its US$10 billion Inna green hydrogen and ammonia project in Chile, located near mining sites and port facilities in Antofagasta. The early-stage project plans to include three solar farms, three wind farms, a battery energy storage system, power infrastructure, hydrogen and ammonia production facilities, a desalination plant, and an ammonia pipeline to a maritime terminal. The company has yet to make an investment decision.
