Acciona has begun operating Chile’s first hydrogen fuel cell–based, zero-emission generator as a pilot project to replace diesel generators at the Carén reservoir expansion works for Codelco’s El Teniente mine. The initiative positions Acciona as the first construction company in Chile to deploy hydrogen-based generators.
