JinkoSolar signs three solar PPAs for its 188MWac projects in Mexico

The solar market is becoming increasingly competitive and in Latin America. Mexico has attracted the interest of Chinese solar PV firm, JinkoSolar Holding Co., Ltd. The company signed 3 PPAs with the Mexican Federal Electricity Commission (CFE), to provide 188 MW of solar energy beginning in 2018. Electricity generated will be sold to the CFE for a 15-year period and afterward, to related Clean Energy Certificates. The first 18 contracts were awarded to 11 companies and a second auction will take place in September. Mr. Xiande Li, Chairman of JinkoSolar confirmed, “Mexico is a very attractive market for solar power and showing great potential which we intend to take advantage of.”
