Peru proposes green hydrogen and distributed energy pilots with Japan

Peru has proposed a three-year cooperation plan with Japan focused on developing green hydrogen and distributed energy pilot projects. The initiative includes nine proposed actions covering technical and commercial cooperation, with Peru seeking Japanese investment and expertise to advance clean energy and electricity infrastructure. The energy ministry also held discussions with Mitsubishi Corporation, Mitsui & Co. and Sumitomo Metal Mining on potential investments in the country.
