Chile launches 2,835 GWh power tender supporting renewables and storage

Chile has launched its 2026/01 electricity supply tender to procure 2,835 GWh annually, allowing renewable generation, natural gas, and energy storage while excluding coal, petcoke, diesel, and fuel oil-backed bids. The tender also recognizes battery storage systems as eligible backup resources, with bid submissions due by December 4.
