Costa Rica’s Electricity Institute (ICE) has begun connecting the 20 MW Los Tecales solar plant to the national grid, marking the first step toward commercial operation. The project is one of five privately developed solar facilities that will add 86 MW of capacity as part of the country’s broader plan to expand renewable generation and strengthen energy security.
