Atlas Renewable Energy is evaluating up to 500 MW of battery storage projects for Brazil’s first capacity reserve auction for energy storage, with final participation dependent on the auction’s rules. The company is also advocating for additional revenue mechanisms to reward avoided renewable curtailment and stronger bid guarantees to encourage more competitive and credible project development.
