Chile’s National Energy Commission has launched a power auction to contract around 2.8 TWh per year of electricity through 15-year power purchase agreements (PPAs) for supply starting in 2027. The tender is aimed at securing long-term electricity for regulated customers, including residential and SME demand, and is expected to attract renewable energy developers and other generators.
