Argentina has approved a US$1.241 billion expansion of the Cauchari-Olaroz lithium project in Jujuy province under its Large Investment Incentive Regime (RIGI). The project, operated by Lithium Argentina and Ganfeng Lithium, will add 45,000 tons of lithium carbonate equivalent annually, significantly increasing total output capacity.
