Valle del Cauca expands solar kits program to provide clean energy access for 1,600 indigenous students

More than 1,600 indigenous students across rural communities in Colombia’s Valle del Cauca now have access to solar power through the government’s Solar Kits program. The initiative, which was supported by an investment of about US$1.4 million, installs photovoltaic systems in off-grid schools, improving access to electricity for educational tools such as computers and tablets. .
