Chile has approved three renewable energy projects totaling 822.4 MW of capacity, including 687.4 MW of wind and 135 MW of solar, with combined investment exceeding US$1 billion. The approved projects include a hybrid solar-wind facility in the north and two large wind farms in the Biobío and Ñuble regions, all with associated transmission infrastructure to connect to the national grid.
