St. Kitts Electricity Company (SKELEC) has launched a Request for Proposals for a major renewable energy project featuring a 50 MW solar PV plant paired with a 30.5 MW/30.5 MWh battery storage system in Basseterre Valley. The project follows a year-long feasibility and due diligence process and is intended to strengthen energy security and reduce reliance on imported fuels.
