Chile’s Gasvalpo achieves 10% green hydrogen blend in residential gas networks

Gasvalpo has successfully injected a 10% blend of green hydrogen into natural gas networks supplying about 4,600 homes in Chile’s Coquimbo region, marking one of the first residential hydrogen blending projects in South America. The initiative has gradually increased from 3.5% to 10% and aims to reach 15% by 2026 and up to 20% long term, helping reduce CO₂ emissions while testing infrastructure compatibility and safety.
