Enel Chile has begun construction of the 94 MW/372 MWh Azabache BESS in Antofagasta, adding energy storage to an existing hybrid solar and wind complex near Calama. The project will enhance the integration and flexibility of renewable generation by combining solar, wind, and battery storage at a single site.
