Hyundai has deployed eight XCIENT hydrogen fuel cell trucks in Uruguay as part of the Kahirós project, a private initiative integrating solar power, hydrogen production, and refueling infrastructure. The project marks South America’s first regular operation of a large-scale hydrogen-powered heavy-duty transport fleet, aimed at decarbonizing forestry logistics.
