The state of Guanajuato revealed advancements on its first geothermal plant in the Laja-Bajío region, a 12.5 MW binary facility backed by an investment of approximately US$4.6 million by ENAL, a subsidiary of Grupo Carso. Once fully permitted, the project will make Guanajuato the sixth Mexican state generating geothermal power.
