AES Andes has cancelled its proposed US$10 billion INNA green hydrogen and ammonia project in northern Chile after reviewing its project portfolio. The company will instead prioritize expanding renewable energy generation and battery energy storage systems, aligning with its US parent company’s strategy. AES Andes emphasized that the decision does not diminish Chile’s long-term potential for green hydrogen development.
