Call for proposals to cooperate in geothermal energy in Mexico

The Mexican National Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT) and the Energy Secretariat (Sener) have launched a call for International Cooperation Research and Development between Mexico and the European Union in Geothermal Energy. Project priorities include research, development and technological innovation in energy sustainability. The call was issued jointly with the European Commission, within the scope of the Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development of the European Union Horizon 2020. The challenge is to increase the knowledge and experience to reduce the technological and social risks associated with the development and exploitation of the Advanced Geothermal Systems Geothermal Systems and Super Calientes. Colleges and centers of public and private research currently enrolled in the National Register of Institutions and Scientific and Technological Enterprises (Reniecyt) may submit proposal for research and technological development in geothermal energy, nationally anchored and in cooperation with member countries or entities associated states of the European Union. Mexican and European proposals are administrative and financially separate, therefore please specify what activities will be implemented using the resources of the European Commission and which are using the fund’s resources.
