High-Powered Pre-CREF Stakeholder Events Speak to High Level Engagement in Caribbean Energy Security

A full day of private stakeholder events for Caribbean governments and utilities underscore the regional and global commitment to collaboration on energy issues and, specifically, to the creation of a resilient and diversified energy matrix across the region. With leadership from CARICOM, private stakeholder events will be hosted by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Organization of American States (OAS), the U.S. Departments of Energy and State, and The World Bank. A clearly identifiable trend is the marked increase in the size of funding commitments from the region’s development partners. We look forward, over the course of CREF, to exploring how those increased commitments will impact investment in regional renewables in the short, medium and long-term.
