The International Monetary Fund (IMF) lowered its 2022 economic growth forecast for Brazil and Mexico, the two largest economies in Latin America, by 1.2 percentage points each. The estimate for the entirety of Latin America and the Caribbean was also lowered by 0.6 percentage points to 2.4%, although Argentina is estimated to have a 0.5 percentage point increase this year.
