SÃO PAULO, BRAZIL (July 15, 2025) – From innovative policy to groundbreaking production, Latin America and the Caribbean’s hydrogen leaders took center stage this week as the winners of the 4th Annual H2LAC Industry Awards were announced at H2LAC 2025 in São Paulo. Hosted by New Energy Events, the awards shine a spotlight on the individuals, institutions, and projects catalyzing a clean energy future for the region.
Selected through a competitive nomination process and reviewed by a panel of esteemed regional experts, this year’s honorees reflect the bold momentum building across the hydrogen value chain.
2025 H2LAC Industry Awards Winners:
- Hydrogen Energy Leader MVP: Daniel Cámac, H2 Perú – Asociación Peruana de Hidrógeno
- Best Government Initiative: Green Hydrogen (GH2) Pilot Project, Trinidad and Tobago – Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries & National Energy Corporation of Trinidad and Tobago Limited
- Best Hydrogen Industry Service Provider: Draft regulatory framework to implement Peru’s #GreenHydrogen Promotion Law, developed by the Hydrogen Technologies Unit at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile
- Best Pioneer Hydrogen Production Project in LAC: HIF Haru Oni e-Fuels Facility, Chile

The ceremony, held as part of the Hydrogen Congress for Latin America and the Caribbean (H2LAC 2025), brought together leaders from government, industry, and civil society to celebrate excellence, exchange ideas, and accelerate collaboration.
H2LAC 2025 took place on July 15–16 at the Grand Hyatt São Paulo, convening stakeholders from across the region and the world to shape the next chapter of hydrogen development in Latin America and the Caribbean.
