Canadian Solar Supplies Modules for 2.5 MW Solar Facility in El Salvador

Canadian Solar, a manufacturer of solar PV modules, announced on Wednesday that it will serve as the singular supplier of PV modules for a 2.5 MW plant located in Moncagua, El Salvador. The facility consists of 8,436 MaxPower CS6X-310P modules from Canadian Solar and together with AES El Salvador, will contribute to climate guardianship at the local and regional levels.

AES El Salvador Executive President, Abraham Bichara, explained: “AES Moncagua is the second renewable generation project built by AES in El Salvador under a vision of environmental sustainability and energy diversification. These projects are testimonies of our commitment to sustainable power generation in the country”.

Canadian Solar sees tremendous potential for renewable energy in Latin America and is excited to add El Salvador to project portfolio that includes Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America.
