U.S. to provide $4.3m funding to Caribbean for energy diversification

The United States State Department announced they will provide $4.3 million in funding to support energy diversification in the Caribbean. Opportunities through the funding will include technical assistance, grant funding for project preparation, and new opportunities for U.S. energy firms and exports.

The announcement of the funding was first made on Wednesday at the U.S. and Caribbean Prosperity Roundtable held in Miami, Florida, an event bringing together Caribbean ministers and U.S. executives from the private sector to spur investment, said the statement.
