A 30MW solar-plus-storage in Guyana will be funded by Norway’s Ministry of Climate.
Norway will finance the project with USD 77 million.
This financing is the result of discussions undertaken last year by the Norwegian and Guyanese governments to support Guyana’s climate action initiatives.
This agreement has allowed Guyana to access close to USD 129 million to support a transition to 100% renewable energy.
Many green initiatives have been planned since, including the installation of 100MW of solar energy projects.
