Solar park in Antigua enters into commission

The Swiss-based clean energy company, The meeco Group, has announced two of its solar projects, totaling 4.44 MWp, simultaneously entered into operation – one in Germany, and the other in Antigua.

The projects were both commissioned in December 2018, on the same date. The Bethesda project, in Antigua, built and commissions by PV Energy, is now the largest solar installation in the state.

“The simultaneous grid connection of two autonomous large-scale solar power plants across two continents was associated with an intense effort,” said CTO Thomas Beindord, “and we are proud to be able to reliably handle this logistical challenge”.
