Solar prices continue to fall globally, and that remains absolutely true in Chile where the last solar bid was awarded to SolarPack at a record breaking price of $29.10. SolarPack’s Head of Operations in Chile and Peru, Inigo Malo de Molina, told reporters last week, “Though there are voices saying they have doubts, the truth is that we have very few doubts. We feel very comfortable with the prices we have.”
Both domestic and international banks have already shown interest in financing SolarPack’s project, which isn’t set to begin construction until 2018.
