Puerto Rico is supporting ‘green banks’ to push renewable energy in the country

More than 16 states in Puerto Rico are looking to support and create “green” banks to help finance and develop clean energy technologies. This is part of an initiative with the U.S Climate Alliance led by the governors of California, Washington and New York.

This alliance is looking to make a $200 million investment in grid energy storage and help promote the transition to more renewable energy such as solar and wind, while investing more than $15 million to train new energy workers.
