Panama has re-opened bidding for assistance with its near-term electricity distribution. The state power transmission company Etesa is seeking generators or self-generators in the local wholesale market to assist with the supply of firm capacity and energy to Empresa de Distribución Eléctrica Metro-Oeste (Edemet), Empresa de Distribución Eléctrica Chiriquí (Edechi) and Elektra Noreste (ENSA). Offers are due on December 19, and the contract would begin in April 2020.
