Neoen, a 100% renewable energy independent power producer, announced it has secured financing for its 140MW solar PV project, Capella Solar, in El Salvador.
Lenders which include the Dutch Development Bank, (FMO) The French Development Agency (Proparco), and the Inter-American Development Bank, will provide USD 143 million. These costs include the installation of a 3MW battery system.
Capella Solar will be constructed by Spanish engineering company TSK, and French contractor Gensun.
This project will be Neoen’s second-largest PV facility built in El Salvador.
