Japan donates 60 electric vehicles to Costa Rica

The Government of Japan delivered 60 electric and hybrid vehicles, including Toyota’s and Mitsubishi’s to the Government of Costa Rica promoting the economic and social development of Costa Rica and support efforts to reduce the national impact of global warming. The initiative is part of the Overseas Development Agreement between the two governments, through which Japan has agreed to provide next-generation vehicles to Costa Rica. The vehicles represent a donation of 300 million Japanese yen, or US $2.8 million. The donated vehicles will be utilized by 13 different government agencies and universities, supporting the Costa Rican Government’s efforts to promote eco-friendly mobility.
