Jamaica issues call for tenders for solar and energy storage project

Jamaica’s Water Resources Authority issued a call for tenders and invitation to bid for a solar-powered back-up system for the flood monitoring system at the Rio Cobre.

The solar power and energy storage system will be used for the monitoring and alarm system 24 hours a day. It must also be functional both on and off the central grid.

The Caribbean Development Bank is putting forward capital to fund this project.

The bid submission has been extended to February 12th 2019.
