IRENA wants a clean energy corridor in Central America

The International Renewable Agency (IRENA) is promoting the creation of a clean energy corridor (CECCA) in Central America, which could promote cross-border trade of renewable energy in the region and could potentially increase the use and infrastructure of clean resources.

To properly execute this, IRENA has been focusing its research on addressing issues related to the design and implementation of renewable energy PPA’s in Central America and the challenges associated with the integration of solar and wind energy to the regional electric grid.
