Guyana to install solar PV on over 50 government buildings

After completing a 740 kWp solar installation on the roof of Guyana’s parliament building, the Guyana Energy Agency (GEA) hired the Swiss company meeco Group again to install its sun2roof solution on 57 government-owned buildings.

“We are delighted to have achieved the installation of 740 kWp on the roofs of different public buildings such as schools, police stations, administrative buildings, health centers and ministries,” said Thomas Beindorf, Technical Director of The meeco Group. “The management and development of clean energy projects also depends on the quality of cooperation with colleagues and local partners. Cooperation with the Guyana government and local teams during the installation phase of sun2roof in Parliament has been very gratifying and highly professional. Thanks to this fruitful collaboration, the facilities are expected to be completed in due time, although it has not been specified.”
