President David Granger announced that his plans for a Ministry of Energy may not be realised before 2020. The recently established Department of Energy would be responsible for preparing the transition to a fully-fledged ministry.
Once the ministry is established, it will be tasked with regulation and monitoring of Guyana’s energy sector.
