Geothermal plant in Nicaragua reached record-level power generation

Polaris Infrastructure, a Canadian company involved in operations, acquisitions and development of renewable energy projects in Latin America, provided an update on the operations of the geothermal plant in San Jacinto, Nicaragua.

The company stated that the geothermal plant reached a record-level power generation of 139,000 MwH or approximately 63.5 MW, which was achieved during Q2 of 2018, and is expected to grow by Q3.  Despite the current political situation in the country, Polaris Infrastructure kept the plant running and providing reliable, affordable and sustainable supply of electricity to the national grid.
