Finance sealed for a 51 MW solar park in Jamaica

The new solar park, Paradise Park, has sealed a 64 million dollars investment. The project which is majority owned by the French independent, Neoen, while the shareholders are MPC Caribbean Clean Energy Fund and Rekaminar Frontier Ventures. 

Neoen’s project was the one chosen out of more than 20 bids in an auction launched by the Jamaican Office of Utilities Regulation. Paradise Park will deliver to Jamaica Public Service Company Limited a cheaper electrical energy supply, with a tariff of $85/MWh through a 20-year power purchase agreement.
