Enel Green Power Peru has started construction of the 180 MW Rubi solar PV plant in the Moquegua District of Mariscal Neito Province. The $170m solar project will have the capacity to generate 440 GWh per year, and once completed will be the largest solar project in Peru
Rubi is expected to begin commercial operation in 2018. Enel made headlines earlier this year when it broke records for its low bids at Peru’s renewable energy auction.
