Eight new solar farms to be completed in Cuban municipality this year

Sancti Spíritus, a municipality in the centre of the island, wants to increase the energy efficiency, distribution and capacity of the island by increasing the use of renewable sources, specifically of solar.

Carlos Miseael Rodriguez, director of the National Electrical Grid of the municipality, stated that by the end of the year, eight new solar projects will be completed in the region. The projects are expected to generated 20.2 MW per hour.
