EIB to back renewables projects in Jamaica

The European Investment Bank (EIB) has approved more than EUR €3.4 billion in financing for clean energy projects around the world. The funds will be used mainly to support renewable energy, energy efficiency and hydropower plant projects.

Specifically, part of the financing will be used to promote projects which aim to help Jamaica power losses. This fund is part of EUR €12.6 billion package that the EIB has approved for 83 projects in Europe, Asia, Latin American and Africa.
