ECLAC releases roadmap for Caribbean governments transitioning to alternative vehicles

A new report released from the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) looks at how governments can make the transition to electric, hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicles. The report, Promoting energy efficiency in government transportation systems: A transition roadmap and criteria for a readiness analysis, identifies Caribbean islands who have began discussions around energy efficient vehicles and lays a roadmap for next steps. The report aims to assist policymakers in identifying the necessary data, as well as the technical, governance, infrastructure and financial conditions required to support the transition to an energy efficient government fleet. Find the report here.
