Green Globe is the worldwide sustainability system based on internationally accepted criteria for sustainable operation and management of travel and tourism businesses.
After two back to back hurricanes caused widespread damage in the Dominican Republic, the resort bounced back quickly while other hotels remained closed. This rapid recovery can be attributed to the high standards and commitment to processes that are fundamental to the environmental certification program. Long term action plans combined with ongoing maintenance programs allows individual departments to make changes whilst maintaining compliance without any major defaults.
