Renewables developer Neoen announces €450 million IPO

Neoen, one of Europe’s largest renewable energy developers, announced its plans for a €450 million IPO, to expand its 2GW portfolio of clean assets to 5GW by the end of 2021. Its current activity is in wind, solar, and energy storage projects.. Neoen is developing the 37 MW solar project in Jamaica, currently in construction phase.

The firm, which reports suggest would be valued at around €1 billion after the IPO -making it the largest IPO in France this year-, made headlines when it was unveiled as the developer, alongside Tesla, of the world’s largest battery storage project in Australia.

The company’s released statement read “Neoen’s rapidly expanding customer base includes states and public authorities, electricity markets and now major companies such as Google”.
