CHTA to Co-Host Session on Opportunities for RE Projects in the Caribbean Tourism Sector

The Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association (CHTA) has confirmed that it will co-host a session focusing on opportunities for the development of renewable energy and energy efficiency projects in the regional tourism sector. The session, which will be led by CHTA President & CEO Frank Comito, takes place against the backdrop of the over 100 energy audits performed under the auspices of the IDB-funded CHENACT project. The panel will explore the findings of the program and a roadmap to financing the recommendations of those audits. Also confirmed for the session are Kevan Dean, head of energy management at Atlantis in the Bahamas, and Robi Das, a Managing Director at private equity firm NGKF with investment interests in the tourism sector across several Caribbean islands. The panel will also feature participation from two regional hotels, to be announced shortly.
