Chile announces 400 MW wind tender

Chile has launched a new tender for wind energy to be developed near the remote northern city of Taltal. The land has potential for almost 400 MW of wind energy, said Chile’s energy minister, Andres Rebolledo.

The latest tender will be awarded to the company that offers the government the highest rent, including a fixed and variable component, for the ground. The winner will then have 48 months to carry out the necessary studies.
