CABEF releases RFP to fund Caribbean RE/EE projects

The Caribbean Basin Sustainable Energy Fund (CABEF), a clean energy and energy efficiency investment and financing fund, seeks to receive project proposals from owners, developers and project sponsors seeking financing for their renewable energy and energy efficiency projects. The deadline to submit a proposal is October 15, 2017. Eligible projects for the Fund include utility-scale and distributed generation using the following technologies: solar PV, wind, geothermal, hydroelectric, waste-to-energy, hybrid, biomass, biogas, energy efficiency, and co-generation.

Projects interested in applying should be advanced or bankable and have all permitting and key contracts secured. Investments will range from US $1m to US $6m. Countries eligible to apply include IDB member countries in the Caribbean: The Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, the Dominican Republic, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Suriname, and Trinidad and Tobago.
