Bolivia reaffirms commitment to export 7,000 MW to Brazil

The Minister of Energy of Bolivia, Rafael Alarcón, closed the 5th Forum of Electricity and Energy between Brazil and Bolivia. The forum, created through an agreement signed with the Inter-Development Bank, is held to promote energy integration between the two nations. “The forum served as an opportunity for the government of Bolivia to offer to export 7,000 MW to Brazil which could help serve the great demand the country needs,” stated Alarcón. The exchange and promotion of technology in the renewable and energy efficiency sector within the two nations was also one of the key subjects discussed in the Forum.
