Aruban beach resort named ‘world’s most sustainable’ is now carbon neutral

The Bucati & Tara resort was just certified carbon neutral, the first in the Caribbean to receive the distinction. The company reduced their greenhouse gas emissions, and offset remaining emissions with carbon credits through its Vader Piet wind farm.

Other sustainable practices include offering reusable water canteens to guests, reducing food waste, and providing energy to their installation through the island’s largest solar panel system.

Bucuti & Tara’s is considered to be the Caribbean’s most eco-friendly resort, and is the recipient of many awards including ‘World’s Most Sustainable Hotel/ Resort’ by Green Globe.
