F&S Solar concept, a German firm, has completed a 58 MW solar park in the Dominican Republic. The project, Montecristi, has 215,000 modules and it will generate 103,000 MWh which is enough to provide electricity to more than 50,000 homes.
The solar project is located in the region of Guayabin and has an extension of 208 hectares. Montecristi is set to be the largest solar facility in the Caribbean region, and is the first of two plants scheduled to enter operation through a US$ 225M investment from the German company with the local government.
