4.4 MW solar project in Cuba to start operations shortly

The Cuban solar park Parada 2 – the biggest in the region – is expected to begin energy delivery tests by the end of this month. Parada 2, a 4.4 MW solar farm with 17,600 solar panels, is located in Puerto Padre, north of the city of Las Tunas. This will be the second solar project of the region, as Parada 1 started operations in December. Las Tunas is expected to produce 51 MW solar energy by 2020 – approximately 1/3 of local demand.
